From Gale and Zoe ~ I took my Doberman, Zoe to Obedience class at Dog Days last year, and to my surprise, Zoe not only learned some manners, but more importantly, I learned that Zoe LOVED to learn and do new things. With a little discipline and daily work, we both graduated to a new level...and we both benefit from it. Thank you, Elise!

Crooke, as I’m sure you can tell from his name, has always been a challenge. He has recently come across a problem called “resource guarding” He would take an object that he knew that he couldn’t have and would guard it by barking and growling and hiding under a table or behind a chair. We were frightened and didn’t know what to do with him. So we called and spoke to Elise who came out to the house and Thank God she did. She has helped Crooke and us tremendously. He now will just give us back whatever he’s not supposed to have, the remote, underwear etcetera. Or if we see him heading for something that he’ s not supposed to have we tell him to “leave it” and he does. She has taught us numerous commands to teach Crooke which he learned in a snap considering he’s a food driven dog. She has corrected Crooke’s behavior and showed us how to set some boundaries with him. We’ve noticed a big change in his behavior thanks to Elise he’s a happier dog. We are also happier and are not afraid when we do have the little one’s around. Thanks so much.

From Jamie ~ Got a bouncy boxer? Enroll in training classes with Elise. Just do it, you won't be sorry. What started with a small investment and a very energetic pup ended with one of the best relationships I could have imagined. It's not all about commands...it's about building a bond that will last forever. Sometimes our pals just need a little help learning the ways of the human world and Elise will show you how, no gimmicks attached. Isis may be one boisterous boxer but now she has skills that impress even our biggest skeptics. I would have to say the best accomplishment for me was learning how to channel all that great boxer energy ~ using some basic commands learned in class and a little bit of patience (also learned in class!) With what we've learned in basic & advanced obedience, all it takes is a few minutes each day to maintain & build on the great foundation Elise helped us start. But don't tell Isis we're still "training"...I don't think she'd believe you anyways. It's too much fun! Thanks Elise!!

From Hallie, CJ and Ava ~ Elise has really given our dog Ava more confidence, as well has found positive teaching methods that are easy to practice after our training sessions. After working with another private trainer prior to Elise, I can honestly say that with "sensitive" dogs like ours, she is the best out there! She's been great with clicker training, and has taught our 80 lb dog not to pull on the leash! Our lessons are wonderful, as are the lesson plans that accompany them. Thanks Elise!

~ From Chris & Annette We found Elise through Dog Days & Nights. We were looking for some training for our "crazy lab" Brody. Elise came to our house to help us address Brody's issues of being easily excitable and overly friendly (jumping up on people, etc). Just one session with her made a huge difference!! Once we finished the general "NO JUMPING" we started doing basic lessons with her. Brody has become the good, lovable boy we had hoped for!! It is truly amazing how quickly Brody learns with her and how much he loves his lessons. Thank you so much Elise for your patience with Brody(and us) and for the great classes!!

From Danette ~ I emailed Elise looking for help with our recently adopted Yellow Lab named Daisy who was a victim of the Louisiana hurricanes. Not long after we got her, she was diagnosed as epileptic, and her behavior was so erratic that the neurology staff at Tufts nicknamed her "Wild Dog". Elise came to our home and gave us some much-needed help for focusing Daisy's attention for training, and tips for eliminating her excess vocalizations. Elise is also helping us to improve her socialization and reduce her anxieties.....Daisy has been through a lot in her young life! Elise has great ideas and endless patience with dogs and owners alike. She never makes us feel 'stupid' like some dog trainers can do, and always answers our endless questions with a smile. We're looking forward to when our "Crazy Dazy" will be ready for group classes at Dog Days & Nights someday soon. Thank you!

From Susan ~ No dog is too old to learn - Zena is now three and still willing to learn if I just take the time to work with her. Your training gave me confidence that even an old owner could learn new tricks. We are all happier and have more fun together because of her step into learning better manners. Still have a long way to go but we are encouraged and know now that it works. The class atmosphere was easy going, geared to owners and dogs that "didn't have a clue" we all had a good time and by graduation we were proud of ourselves and the dogs. No one was left behind (hahaha No Dog left behind!!! )

From Andrea ~ I have to admit this: I am not made for dog-training. I am very shy and get nervous in class. I also get frustrated easily. That being said, I think Elise is amazing at helping students find comfort levels that work. I truly love the style of training Elise teaches. She is kind, supportive, and effective. I use the commands we've learned in class on a daily basis with my 11 month old puppy and find that the techniques taught dramatically improve his behavior and reduce my stress level. Now I know how to look for the behavior I want, or ways to withdraw my attention (versus yelling) to teach Truman valuable lessons. I couldn't have done this without Elise's guidance. She is committed to meeting her student's needs- both human and otherwise!

From Alicia, JVon and Barkley ~ We loved everything about your obedience classes for puppies!! I'm not sure who benefited more, Barkley or JVon and I.
We were at our wits end with Barkley Beagle...and definitely in over our heads!
Your class saved my sanity, not to mention my home! Having a very frisky beagle and being first-time dog owner was exasperating. However, your hands on demonstrations, tons of encouragement, and especially feeling like no question was ever a dumb question saved us all! Most importantly, I felt that your positive attitude helped me feel like I really could have a manageable puppy...a puppy that more than a mother could love...lol
